Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Level 5)

The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a comprehensive Level 5 programme designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in power systems, electronics, control systems, and circuit design.
Spanning 240 ECTS credits, the course blends theoretical foundations with industry-relevant applications, preparing students for immediate employment or further academic progression.
Students will engage in real-world engineering challenges, build critical problem-solving abilities, and explore innovative technologies driving the modern world.
Laboratory work, design projects, and collaborative tasks enhance both technical proficiency and teamwork. The curriculum also emphasizes sustainability, safety, and smart technologies within engineering systems.
Graduates are well-prepared for roles in electrical design, systems engineering, automation, and electronics development.
The HND provides a direct pathway to top-up bachelor’s degrees or entry into global engineering careers.

University Progression

University Top-up

On completion of this course, students have the opportunity to complete a Master degree programme from our partner University. The top-up programme can be studied online or on campus. The top-up comprises the final 60 credits which consist of either a dissertation or a dissertation and one module.

Entry requirement

For entry into Level 5 International Higher National Diploma in Accounting and Business, learners must possess:


* Relevant/Local Board of Examination Result in your Country, which must include at least 5 'C' Grades in English and 4 other subjects. 

* Level 3 and 4 Certificate. 

* Mock Examination Results can also be accepted for initial Conditional Admission, pending the release of the Board of Examination Results. (This is assessed on a case by case basis). 

* Learner must be 18 years and older at the start of the Course. 

OR

Mature Learners (21 years and older) with work experience in supervisory, leadership, or management roles. (This is assessed on a case by case basis).
